Question
I have 1997 BMW528i. it failed code 11, ca,e3.  I change Camshalf sensor, 2 oxygen sensor but engine light is still on and failed the same code after I reset. Now, My car start to have overhit issue. Anything wrong?

Answer
Mike, where did you get code 11? Is that a code off of an OBD II scanner? I it is then I need the last seven digits of the VIN number to reference the code. Am I to understand that the car Overheats? If so then fill the cooling system and have it pressure tested for leaks. With the radiator cap off and engine cold look in the reservoir and look for coolant swirling to check for circulation from the water pump. May need someone to hit the gas to see this. Close radiator cap (inspect O-rings on cap to make sure they haven't flattened out, should be nice and round). Run the engine and make sure electric fan comes on. Upper radiator hose should get hot to the touch. When the Thermostat opens up the lower radiator hose should be almost as hot, if not then thermostat is suspect. If engine overheated then it is a good idea to change the Thermostat and gasket.
