BMW Repair: alarm help, bmw alarm, bmw service

I have a 2004 BMW X3 I just got it second hand and I am unable to set alarm. I think the last owner has it turned off if that is possible . I think it has to do with user options. Last seven #s of vin wc35480

Anthony, take your car to the local BMW service department and ask the service advisor to take your key and run the information on it to see if the car has a factory alarm system. DWA (BMW alarm) was not standard and was mainly a dealer installed retrofit. If it doesn't have it installed from the factory ask if they can remove the microfilter cover and element to see if they can see the siren for the alarm. If not get a quote on the price on the kit and installation labor.
