BMW Repair: 95 318ic window goes up and down. Heater Blower Out., arthur fonzarelli, silicone spray

My 318ic. right window goes up and down (less than an inch) when I am driving. I know it is suppose to do this when I close door, but not when I drive. What to check? replace? and how?  Also Heater Blower isn't working. AC light will go on or small heat come out but no fan.  It started by working periodically but now not at all. Before if I hit dash like the Fonz. It would work.  What do I replace and how?  You guys are great.  Thanks for the help.

Daniel, the window issue is most likely an issue with the lock assembly. Try lubing and manually working the actuator in the door. Use a silicone spray or graphite lock cylinder type spray lube. Sometimes the actuator gets sticky and hangs up on the hall sensor which confuses the Body module to move the window. Secondly the window motor itself could be at fault.
    As for the A/C issue first I appreciate the Arthur Fonzarelli referance. Secondly we see two problems, The final stage resistor which is responsible for controlling power for the blower fan. Located in drivers side footwell on the side of the heater box housing. It has a four wire flat connector. These are often faulty. Secondly if the display (A/C contorl Module) turns off or acts up (like you are saying when you hit it) then the unit is faulty. This item is expensive an has to be coded by the dealer to get the units to read properly. If you are reasonably handy then you can remove the Module and replace a capacitor inside. I can't remember the website right now, but I'll get back to you if you are interested. Let me know.
