BMW Repair: bmw fault code, peake research, gasket seal

I have a 2002 325i which just had the fuel pump replaced. A fault code was read using a peake research code reader.The fault is Table 19/code 8f: DM-TL Leak Detected. what is this?thanks m,ark

Mark, it is a leak in the Evaporative emmissions system. Most often a loose gas cap is the cause. I would check the gasket/seal on the fuel sender/pump to gas tank. If this isn't seated correctly the gas tank won't hold pressure. The DMTL is a small pump used to pressurize the Evap. system to check for leaks.
