BMW Repair: Doors will not unlock!, 1992 bmw 735i, bmw 735i

I have a 1992 BMW 735i(DB71558). I have been having trouble with the battery staying charged because I don't drive the car everyday. Now after sitting a while the battery has died and the doors or trunk will not open with the Key. HOW DO I GET IN THE CAR TO CHANGE, CHARGE OR JUMP THE BATTERY???

Al, I think there is a mechanical override. Use the key in the driver's door and turn to unlock position and lift up on the handle at the same time. Turn the key as far as it will go. Please let me know if this works because I have only head of this on E34 five series and have never done this.
