BMW Repair: 1999 323i BMW doors, 323i bmw, button work

Hi Evan! i have a 1999 323i bmw and I'm having problems with the door locks. I can't unlock the doors with the remote box or from inside. when i pres the button on the inside, it makes a noise bu doesn't open the doors at all. i've been getting in by opening the windows by holding the unlock button on the remote and climbing in throught the window. Is this common.

Gerardo, Check fuses first. Does the hazard button work next to the central locking button? People VERY often spill drink in the buttons. If the hazard operation is impared or the buttons just don't feel right when pressing replace the switch by hooking it and pulling straight up. Get both vehicle master keys and try to initialize them to the car. Get first key and put into ignition, turn to first postion (click) and remove, Hold unlock button while pressing lock button three times and then release the unlock button. Door locks will move if successful. With 2nd key only perform button dance.
