BMW Repair: DSC problems onley when its hot, camshaft position sensor, cam sensor

Question
Hello, I own a 2000 323i, the problem with the car is the DSC, ABS, and the brake light come on every once in a while in the summer on really really hot days and never in the winter haven’t had the car checked or anything because im so so busy but thought u could help me out with that...and also if I could bother u with one more question: it was a normally cold morning as I started my car it showed the service engine light and was revving high and low like some one was hitting the gas and letting off of it constantly, so what I did was turned the car off and back on, surprisingly it stopped doing it and ran perfectly and been driving it for weeks and  haven't had the problem since maybe it was a one time thing don’t know...please help

Answer
Alex, You need to have the faults read out the vehicle to see what is stored. I don't know of any DSC/heat related issues off hand. The second issues sound very much like a intermittently fault Camshaft position sensor. See if you have a fault for either the Intake or Exhaust camshaft sensor. If you have a fault for one please replace it and it's O-ring. They have a new designed sensor that is much better and would be wise to replace both sensors if you have never done a Cam sensor
