BMW Repair: (1995 BMW M5)., bmw m5, computer diagnosis

Question
How do i fix my BMW? i try to start it, and it won't turn on. The alarm Keeps going off. I tried putting a new battery in the key alarm, it did not work. I tried jump starting it(because the alarm of the car drained the battery) it didn't work. I called the BMW dealership, and they told me to take it in for diagnosis. They are charging me 208.00$ just to take a look at it. I don't have that much money. Also i have to tow it there. The car won't start :(

When you say key alarm, do you mean the remote that is separate from the key? If it is, then the remote is not disarming the EWS (anti-theft system). And when you try to start it, does it crank but not start? Or does it simply not crank at all(EWS cutoff again). Try opening the driver's door mechanically with your key, then try starting the car. If it still does not start, then I have to agree with the BMW dealer that it needs more (read, computer) diagnosis).
It can be anywhere between the remote,the transmitter/receiver of the EWS, or the EWS control module
itself.
I am sorry that I can not be of more help. EWS anti-theft systems while not infallible are meant to discourage car thefts. And when it belly-ups, you have to use computers/scanners to diagnose it.
