BMW Repair: Blower Motor, bmw 318i, blower motor

Hi, I have a 96 BMW 318i. The blower works in the summer but stops working in the winter. This is the second winter that its stopped working. Thought it was the motor but I'm not sure now that it worked all summer. What could it be?

Hi Don,
Please tell me first if you have the manual aircon system
(IHKR), or the automatic (IHKA). Better still, tell me the last 7 numbers of your VIN. And pls. recheck if the fan
really works or does not work currently at all possible settings (cold/hot, low to high fan). Or does it work temporarily and then cuts out.
This problem can be due to a multitude of possible causes
(fuse, relay, blower motor, wires, control module, switch,
final stage), The most that I can do is to point out things that you can check yourself and hopefully remedy or have repaired.
