BMW Repair: 325xi instrument panel, clock button, computer diagnosis

Question
I have a 2002 325xi that is having a problem with instrument panel. Lights and blinkers work, but inside turn signal light doesn't. Seatbelt sensor doesn't work. Other instrument panel problems. Can't control temperature of ventilation/AC except to turn it on. Can't set radio to show the time-the clock button seems depressed and stuck. Tried disconnecting the battery briefly but it didn't reset. Any ideas? Does this have to go to the dealer? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Edwin,
You have a multi-faceted problem that needs a BMW scanner
(GT1 or DIS) which only a dealer has. As I see it, you possibly have IKE/KOMBI( instrument cluster), LCM(lamp control module),IHKA/KR (ac control module), MRS(airbag/restraint system), and maybe even a Business CD/Radio problem.
Go to a dealer and have it diagnosed(try to minimize your expense by haggling for a one-hour computer diagnosis). Then tell me what faults you  have and let us take it from there
(if you can get a complete list of the faults in the diagnostic report the better). Please note that when any of the aforementioned control modules have to be replaced, it needs coding (with a BMW diagnostic machine). The most that I can give you is advice. I hope that I had been of help.
