BMW Repair: 2002 BMW 325i evaporator core, 2002 bmw 325i, fuse box

Question
I have a 2002 BMW 325i that I purched about 2mo. ago, the a/c stoped blowing cold. I hooked up a/c gauges found had no freon, put a can of dye in syst. found evaporator core leaking. I have the whole dash removed up to what I guess is called the sub frame where the dash mounts, but I am not sure if I need to remove the frame, and if it needs to be removed what steps do I need to take. The last seven of the vin is NG81309. Thank you for your help

Answer
Dear Brad,
This my be a stupid question, but are you asking how to replace the evaporator core or how to remove the whole evaporator assembly?
But just to answer your question, there are several transverse
reinforcements that you have to remove to access the evaporator . Anything that restricts your access provided it is bolted on can be removed if needed (left and right A pillar reinforcements, center console reinforcements, fuse box reinforcement, etc.)
Pls. remember also that the evaporator is connected to the expansion valve which can be accessed inside the engine compartment. There are also some other things that need to be removed prior to removal like the final stage. Just keep an open mind and do not remove more than is needed.
I am sure this
