Question -
The keyhole on the driver side door doesn't work and I was ok with unlocking the door won't from the passenger side door. Now for some reason the passenger side door will no longer unlock the driver side door and the door won't open with the handles either. Also because of this the car will not start, When I turn the key I get it to the accessory but it won't start or turn the engine. This happened before but all of the sudden it started working. Again it seems to have something to do with the driver door.

What do you think?

Answer -
Adam, what car are we working on? Give the last seven digits of the VIN.

Answer
Adam, you can only get the key to the accessory position (Position 1)? Am I to understand that the key won't turn to position 2 or 3 (Key on or Cranking positon)? Does the steering wheel unlock? Since your driver's door can't be unlocked I believe the General Module (body control module) is sending a high signal to the Drive away protection relay disallowing the starter to run. If you can turn the key then I want you to try something. Try to trick the General Module (the GM) by removing fuse 7. If this works then the Door lock switch is not changing status to the GM when you turn the key in the door lock. You can also try tapping the door with a rubber mallet as you turn the key in the driver's door lock.
