BMW Repair: leaking radiator, leaking radiator, warranty status

Question
I have a 1999 323i 5-speed my rad seems to be leaking from a bmw made hole above the drain screw. it will not leak if the car is off. but when the car is on at idle it leaks a bit. when driving it all leaks out. is something missing for that hole.? it's a new rad, just installed please help me if you can!!!!

Answer
AJ I have never heard of this and is impossible to diagnose without seeing it or testing it. If part was purchased through a BMW dealership then return the car to the dealer an have them look at it. The shopforeman should inspect it to see if it is a defective part or faulty installation. All BMW parts have a two year parts warranty. Reguardless of vehicle warranty status. The radiator should be pressure tested to identify the source of the exact source of the leak. Labor should be covered under warranty if the part was installed at the dealer.
