I bought this used 1987 BMWis and I have know owners manual. How do I disarm the anti theft alarm? How do
I get the wiper motor out? This car has many things on the dash which I need to understand, like the radio will ot play without a specail code to unlock it? Thanks Bill

 The radio has an Anti-Theft system on it.  So when the power is disconnected to the radio (theft), the radio requires a code in order to get the radio to work.  This will make a theif angry, but wont get your radio back.  Anyhow if you disconnect the power to the radio (car battery goes dead, or you disconnect the battery cables).  So you will need a code.  This code is usually written inside the owners manual by the owner for futur reference (the smart ones at least).

 If you still cannot find the code, you can contact a BMW dealership and provide them with your VIN and they should be able to help you.  The wiper motor can be removed from outside the car, under the engine bay inspection panel.
