Answer
Praseut, Wheel balance is a good place to start and never hurts to check. Look for tread separation or side-wall bulges. Also check to make sure that none of the wheels are bent while spin balancing. I personally think it is probably worn lower front control arm bushings. If it is the bushings always replace in pairs. Try hitting the brakes briefly but firmly from 20mph and if you feel a clunk in the front-end then those bushings are shot. They only last 60,000 miles at best. Usually run $150.00 per set. Also try rotating the tires if they are all the same size. Also make sure you have a good reputable brand tire (Michelin, Perelli, Contenental or another OEM recommended tire). BMW struts don't go bad very often. We only replace them in accident cars and high mileage (over 150,000 miles).
