BMW Repair: BMW 325i right front turn signal bulb replacement, bmw 325i, screw driver

Question
I have a 2000 BMW 325i and can't seem to remove the lense to replace the right front turn signal bulb.  The small plastic tip of the clip holding the lense doesn't release when downward pressure is applied.

Is there a trick to this?  Also, does the entire lense assembly simply slide forward when the clip is ultimately released?  It's rather difficult to get a grip on the lense, and prying with a screw driver seems to be asking for trouble.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Answer
Yes the whole assembly comes out after the clip is released.  The clip seems to be further down then people seem to think.
It is also not easy to get the assembly out even when you get it released.Instead of a screwdriver try prying with a table knife wrapped with some masking tape etc.
