BMW Repair: I have an 86 528e that blew..., flaring tool, rubber hose

Question
I have an '86 528e that blew a transmission fluid hose. It is the hose located at the front of the car by the radiator.
I have disconnected the coupling at the radiator and my real question is:
Do I need to remove/replace the entire metal fluid line attached to the rubber hose? If not, how do I disconnect the rubber hose from the metal line?

Answer
If you can split the metal crimp clamp and remove the hose and it has a flared end then you can use trans cooling line hose and clamps to replace ot.
If it doesnt have a flare then you can use a flaring tool and make your own flare to make sure the line doesnt blow off.
