BMW Repair: 98 M3 heater/ac stopped working, stage unit, blower motor

Hi,

All of sudden it stopped working. The Heater/AC controller seems to work fine. When I press the controls for recycle, ac, feet, front etc, I can hear things moving but no air is coming out, no fan blowing.  I want to know what might be wrong with it before bringing it in to the auto shop for repairs. Please help if possible.

If the blower motor is all that is inop then its most likely the "final stage unit" as BMW calls them .Its the blower motor speed cotrol and it usually mounts to the heater box just above the gas pedal.The control head can be a problem but you didnt mention any of the other symptoms that would make it suspect.
