Michael --- I forgot to tell you the particulars of my Bimmer.

It's an '84 325i "Gray Market" built and sold in der vaterland!

It has the earlier EFI --- not the new Motronic they used on the US-built '84's.

I assume you got my previous response.
I know very little about this car.
I would haveto test some things myself to even begin to guess; such as tps, coolant sensor, O2 output, fuel pressure, timing, and vacuum leaks.
I can't even begin to help you without looking at the car personally.
