Answer:    Think i will....
It's hard to guess without running an ignition scope and an exaust gas analizer I would check the throttle position sensor; coolant temperature sensor-unless the car acts like this when you first start it up and drive.
Have you changed your fuel filters recently? if not this will most likely be the cause, it could also be other regular maintence items like the air filter.
Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
check the timing w/ a timing light (flip the throttle open a few times to see if the automatic timing is functioning)
sounds more to me like a fuel starvation problem caused by insufficent fuel supply at the engine (since hard acceleration requires more fuel)

the coolant temperature sensor is on the thermostat houseing you can check the throttle position sensor with a voltmeter.  What you really need is to put it on an ignition scope or an ossciliscope to figure out whats happining with the sparkline.  it could be your airflow meter (can be diagnosed with a 5 gas analizer.  have you checked all the hoses leading to the intake? if you have a vacuum leak the car will run like shit.  you can check for a leak with a propaine tank but i don't recomend an untrained person even attempt it because propaine explosions happen 100's of times a year by poorly trained people attmpting to diagnose a vacuum leak.  you need to know what the exaust has in it to decide what component is at fault.  you can buy a computer to get the code or i think their is a way to get them with a paperclip. checkout:
