GMC Repair: 01 denali no rear ac or heat, blower motor resistor, fuse box

Question
QUESTION: I've seen answers on here saying rear heat works but no ac and my problem is I get nothing from the rear at all. I would imagine either a fuse, relay or blower problem but I don't know where to start. the fuse box lid under the hood is missing so I'm not sure which fuses to look at. any help would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: Hi
Does the blower fan work at all? Please answer back clicking the private tab, and I will research further.
Thanks

QUESTION: thank you for the quick response, the blower does not come on at all. I cannot get any air to come through the rear vents.

Answer
Hi
As long as Fuses labeled RR HVAC in underhood fuse box, and labeled IGN 3 in the inside fuse box (by the drivers door) then the next item I would check would be the Rear Blower motor resistor assembly. It is located on the rear HVAC case. You'll have to remove the right rear interior trim panel, that covers the case. Before you purchase one, I would check, and make sure you getting power 12V and ground to the motor (The resistor supplies both power and ground). IF SO, the motor will be at fault., IF NOT, it will be the resistor.  It is mounted on the case and it will have 2 sets of wires, 2 leading to the blower motor and 5 leading to the HVAC controller.
Pretty easy and straight forward repair, should take you no more than 2 hours, from start to finish. If any other help needed, do not hesitate to ask.
