on a 2007 gmc sierra 2500 hd slt,i changed the fuel filter and the battery now it wont start,any tips on what the problem might be

I am assuming you primed the fuel system? Either way I have seen the primer "bulb" have to be pushed up to 60 times or MORE to get all the air out of system. As you prime, the "bulb" should get harder to push down. I would prime it 30 or so times, crank it, let it run a few seconds, then prime it again, 30 or so times.
