GMC Repair: Turn signal switch replacement, chev silverado, key cylinder

Question
I have a 2003 Chev. Silverado and need to replace the turn signal combination switch. It looks easy enough, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to get the enclosure off of the steering column. Do I have to remove the steering wheel?

Answer
Hi
There should be 3 screws holding the lower cover on. Remove these and the top one will have 1 inverted torx (E-5) on the right side front above the key cylinder. This will remove the covers. As for the Steering wheel, yes it will need to be removed as one of the screws holding the multi function switch face the steering wheel.
I Hope this helps
Good Luck
