GMC Repair: wiper arm 99 gmc 1500 sierra, gmc 1500, wiper arms

Question
I've got the nut off to replace the wiper arms, what else is holding the arm in place?

at the base there will be a small slide clip. it is part of the wiper arm and does not separate from the arm itself. it is hard to see. I would use a small screwdriver to release and firm pressure to pull the arm straight up. it is splined and fits very tight onto the drive mechanism
