GMC Repair: 95 gmc sierra 4x4 5.7l tbi, gmc sierra, roll pin

my truck began to run very rough while i was driving home from work...i checked the plug wires to make sure none of them were loose or worn. any suggestions?

check distributor for cracks and/or worn studs. check rotor bug. if you do not mind pulling the distributor...check the cam gear for wear and make sure the roll pin that holds the gear on is in tact. if you have use of a scanner, do that. if not, auto zone and/or O'reilly's will do it for free. check timing. also before you do all of this, bring the engine to TDC (top dead center).
