GMC Repair: 2002 Sarai passenger window motor, auto stores, quality manufacturer

Hi,

When I press the 'up' button on my passenger window, the window starts to go up and then stops.  I try again 5 minutes later, and it will go up another couple of inches.  I finally get it to the top.

I feel certain that it is the window motor.  I had this problem on my driver side several years ago.

I can't get a motor from GMC without having to buy the regulator as well.  I have determined that 3rd party auto stores can get the motor by itself.  

I have not removed the old motor yet, because I want to figure out everything before I get started (I'm a novice),  I don't know if it's 9 or 10 teeth.  It is for the passenger side if that makes a difference.

Can you tell me the original GMC part number?  There are so many different part numbers on the Internet, and so many brands.  Can you suggest a high quality manufacturer or where I should get this part?

i cannot verify the part number without looking at the motor that you have, as part numbers change frequently.  You may have to remove the old one to also find out if you have 9-10 teeth.  the motor is riveted to the regulator, so if you are not knowledgeable about drilling out rivets you may find it easier to buy the motor and have a mechanic install it for you.  THe small price you will pay could save you injury and grief
