GMC Repair: 1998 GMC Savanna 350 will not start, gmc savanna, vortec engine

Question
Hi, I have a 350 Savanna that will not start all the time, and when it does the engine will stall after a little while.  I just replace the fuel pump as it was not working correctly but that did not solve the problem.  I then replaced the fuel filter and relay, but again, it made no difference.  I checked once and there was spark, and the new fuel pump does run.  Is the problem an intermittent coil? Or could the problem be a bad pressure regulator?
thanks

Answer
Hi
My best answer would be to check the fuel pressure when it will not start. Guessing will only cost money. Check fuel pressure, spark from coil and also from dist to plugs. If presssure bleeds down quickly (from 66psi to say 30) in less than 1 minute, you MAY have a regulator issue.'
The Vortec engine these years HAVE to have 60=66psi no more no less.
Good Luck
