GMC Repair: 1997 gmc jimmy not getting gas, fuel pressure gauge, fuel pump relay

Question
do you know where the fuel pump relay is and is their any thing else i should try before replacing the fuel pump?

Answer
fuel pump relay is in the under hood fuse block, left front of vehicle under the hood.  If you have a fuel pressure gauge you could hook it up to the port on the fuel rail and check your fuel pressure, should be 60psi.  If you do not have a gauge, another test would be to open the gas cap and have someone else turn the key on, put your ear up to the fuel neck and see if you can hear the fuel pump turn on.  If it doesn't  come on after a few seconds, chances are the pump is shot, best of luck
