GMC Repair: 99gmc jimmy fuel porb no start, fuel pressure regulator, crank sensor

Question
filled gas tank full, drove 25 miles. car sat for about 2 hours, now wont run.<it will start, run for 2 seconds then die> i can hear the fuel pump energize, fuel pump under warranty, so i pulled it out and got a new one, same problem. Pulled apart upper mani, replaced fuel pressure regulator,on the regulator there is a port for a vacume source, but nothing was atached to it. put car back together. same prob. what do you think is wrong, crank sensor? bad fuel pump <even if its new?> injector issue?, bought a fuel pressure tester, will hook it up tomarrow to check pressure. 60-66 psi always even when cranking?i wonder if the pump primes to a certain pressure then when it runs it fails?

Answer
Hi
60-66 all the time. It takes this pressure to for fuel to atomize when nozzle is injected electrically.
The pressure regulator has NO vacuum LINE going to it, it uses manifold vacuum...vacuum avalible being enclosed in the manifold.
If the vehicle runs for 2 secs. I would also REALLY look at the vehicletheft deterrent (VTD)or security system.
This is EXACTLY the symptoms of this system failing.
IF the Passlock system sends an incorrect analog signal to the BCM (Body Control Module) the BCM will in turn "signal" the VCM (Vehicle Control Module) to DISABLE fuel enable (done by stopping injector pulses).
Check the SECURITY light on the dash....what is it doing?

Does the SECURITY telltale turn ON and remain ON for more than 5 seconds?
Does the SECURITY telltale turn ON for 3 seconds, turn OFF briefly, and then flash ON and OFF?
Does the SECURITY telltale turn ON for 3 seconds, turn OFF for 2 seconds, then turn ON steady?

Please let me know.... I MAY not be able to tell you EXACTLY what the problem is..... there is a diagnostic procedure that must be followed to pinpoint the EXACT cause, but I can assist, if possible.
Hope this helps
