GMC Repair: 2000 grand am, turn signal switch, gm dealership

Question
i have a 2000 grand am with a 2.4 motor. like many other people my car sometimes will not start it acts like it wants to but doesn't when this happens the securit light come on and i have to wait 10 minutes before it goes off. that same light comes on while i drive down the road but it does not shut my car off while im driving. i have replaced the ignition switch and module. i send it to the dealership and they can't seem to get it right. i know that other people have had this problem and i need it fixed. also my turn signals don't work half the time if i push in the hazard light and let it go the start working i know that there is a recall could this be the problem?
   thanks adam

Answer
Hi
If you've replaced the switch, sensor AND key cylinder, then I would look to the BCM at possible fault for the security fault.
The turn signals MAY fall under the recall. You should call ANY GM dealership, they'll need your VIN, and they can look it up through VISS, and see if recall is opened or closed.
If it is closed, I would HIGHLY suspect the turn signal switch at that point.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
