GMC Repair: GMC Sonoma Fuel pump repair costs, gmc sonoma, varibles

Question
I just got my 2001 Sonoma 6 cylinder engine fuel pump repaired, he
diagnosed it by sticking his finger in where the gas is pumped into and
asked me to turn on truck like i was just listening to radio, he said he couldn't
feel fuel pump running and said i needed a new fuel pump. It ended up
costing $693, is this a reasonable price? Cause I am being told that it isn't.

ALOT of varibles, but if the price you gave me was for the WHOLE job (Parts and labor), I would say that sounds reasonable. That also will depend on quality of part (Delco part or aftermarket). It also depends on the labor rate in your area of the country. Also if he gave a warranty, parts and labor etc....
