GMC Repair: 2004 GMC Envoy, ambient light sensor, gmc envoy

Trying to remove money from center defrost vent under the front windshield. Need help accessing vent.

Hi
To remove the deflector itself, remove the side windshield trims.
then pry up on the Upper Trim Pad starting at one edge and working towards the center.
Don't forget to rotate the ambient light sensor counterclockwise 1/4 turn in order to release the sensor from the trim pad.
If it fell farther down that the deflector itself, the whole dash assembly will need to be removed.
