GMC Repair: 98 Buick Century - one brake light, turn signal switch, buick century

Question
Well, the driver's side brake light doesn't come on when i hit the brakes.  I replaced the bulb with new ones a couple times without luck before i realized that wasn't the problem, after I switched the bulb with the passenger side bulb and the passenger side worked and still not the driver's side.  The light works in every situation - as a turn signal, and it comes on part way when the headlights are on like it should.  Just not when i hit the brakes.

Answer
Hi
Check and see if you can get a test light to light up.
If not, you can follow that wire back (dark green). It'll go through a connector and become a yellow wire. Test it there. If no power you'll go under the dash on drivers sdie. That same yellow wire will be in a connector that goes up to the turn signal switch. Check for power there. If none, You'll need a Multi Function switch (Turn signal switch). Common problem on those vehicles.
If anywheres in between you DO get power then the wire is bad somewheres between where you have power and where you lost it.

Hope this helps.
Good Luck
