GMC Repair: 2001 Yukon AC Delco Heater Control, ac delco, gmc yukon

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon. The front air control switch only operates in the 3, 4 and 5 position. Does not work at all at 1 and 2.  Do I need to replace the Ac Delco Heater Control part # 15-72718?  Air works fine in 3, 4 and 5 position, just too powerful for daily use. Thanks.

No I really do not believe the Control head is your problem.
I really think the Blower resistor is at fault.
It is located on the Passenger side, directly next to the blower motor.
It has a 7 or 8 wire connector from controller,  and then the 2 wires coming out for the motor.
They are VERY common problem.
2 small screws holding it in.
easy fix.
Part SHOULD cost in the $40-$50 range Depending on your location, etc....
