GMC Repair: 02 Sonoma FTP sensor issues, gmc sonoma, crank sensor

Question
I have a 2002 GMC Sonoma, 5 spd, 4X2, w/ a 4.3L V6. My truck just plain died while trying to back into a parking spot. No "dummy lights" are showing, and all the mechanics I talked to said it was the fuel pump. After I checked the fuel pump relays and other fuses, I changed the fuel pump. Still nothing... Next I changed the Crank sensor, and tried a new cam sensor. Nope. I got ahold of a scan tool, and a Fuel Tank Pressure sensor code came up. I cleared the code, but it still won't start. I'm starting to think it's the PCM now, but what should be my next step to solving this?  Thanks so much!

Answer
Hi
Can you have someone attempt to crank truck while you hold ear to fuel tank, and listen for pump to run (should be able to hear a humming noise)
If not, and with a FTP code, I would suspect wiring going back to the pump OR the ground ckt. for the pump module assy.
The FTP actually works on a different ckt than the pump (5volts) totally controlled by PCM no external grounds, as opposed to (12volts) for the pump.
The ground  (G402) is located Chassis harness, near the top center of the second crossmember from rear, with the fuel filler neck ground strap.
I would also check the harness all the way back, around fuel filter area, from front to rear.
Hope this helps.
JUST advice from experience.
Good Luck
