GMC Repair: removal of center 4.3, socket configuration, gmc jimmy

Question
Can you tell me how to remove the center spark plug driver side on a 2000, 4.3 gmc jimmy? The steering column is in the way. I have tried with and without a u-joint. Don't see any way besides a special wrench.

I wish I could tell you there is a special tool, but none exsist. I Cannot remember the exact socket configuration but I know if you come in through the wheel well opening you may be able to use the swivel plug socket and come from the bottom of column.
