GMC Repair: Bogging down, aem brute force, gmc sonoma

I just put an aem brute force and new fuel filter on my 98 gmc sonoma ...... ran great for a couple of days but now when I apply the gas my engine seems to bogg down with a very noticble decrease in Hp...... this only happens when the truck is warmed up and driven for about 2-3 mins.......(4.3l sls)how do I check the cat? oh and the orange check engine light is on ....very dim

You could try disconnecting the exhaust at the manifold and see if it gets better, this would let you know if the converter is getting clogged. I would also find out what that code is that is turning on the check engine light. You may also want to remove the Brute Force and put the stock setup back on and see if it gets better.
