GMC Repair: 98 gmc safari teilgate fuse, gmc safari, tension spring

i can not open teilgate because fuse nr.13 is getting busted every time i touch the button .
another problem i have is that the front left window sometimes after coming down is not coming back up

The window is probably because the motor is going out, I do not recommend that repair be attempted at home because that type of window regulator has a high tension spring and when you remove the motor it could cause physical harm.

The tailgate issue is due to a short in the wiring or in the actuator itself. You can pull the panel back from inside the vehicle and manually release the gate, but is not easy and you may break the panel if you are not too careful. If you can get the gate open, remove the panel and look for pinched or rubbing wires. The liftgate release motor power wire is light green.
