98 GMC C1500 How do you remove the fuel lines from the pump on top of the tank? Are special tools required?

Yes there are fuel line disconnect tools availible from the parts stores or tool suppliers,it has a special collar that fits into the line fitting and compresses the retainer for release,if you cant locate the tool,let me know and ill get you the info on were to purchase one local to were you live,also the tool distributors such as Snap-on,Mac tools,cornwell tools,Matco tools have them and you can purchase them online from them.
