GMC Repair: valve lifters, valve lifters, gm parts

what can i do about noisy valve lifters, or should i get them replaced, 4 cylinder pontiac...

 Usually if the lifters are noisy its best to have them replaced,though i dont know the year or engine you have i am assuming its the 2.4l quad 4,then yes they would need to be replaced for noise,GM has issued new lifters for the quad4 in what is called an anti pump up lifter,this lifter retains the oil and keeps it from making noise,GM parts has them availible.let me know if you need more help,Thanks
