GMC Repair: 1994 Cadillac Sedan Deville, cadillac sedan deville, rear portion

Question
HI, I have a 1994 cadillac sedan deville, and the transmission I think is making a knocking or a clicking noise whenever I place the car in reverse .it doesn't make the noise whenever it's in drive, but you can hear it a little while in drive only when you stop at a light. The transmission fluid is full.Could it still be transmission?

Answer
Hi,Shawn

What i think the noise may be is the ft transmission mount may be broken causing the noise when you go into reverse, also when driving and coming to a stop the torque on the motor and trans is causing the ft rear portion of the transmission to pop up and then slam down, this is caused by a broken ft transmission mount, inspect it and it will be noticable if it is broken,it will be cracked and coming apart, replace it and it should elliminate the clunk type noise you are feeling and hearing.if you need anymore help feel free to contact me.Thanks
