GMC Repair: fuel pump, oil pressure sending unit, little peace

Question
--i run awire to fuel pump and to fuel pump relay and truck started remove wire for relay truck still running remove wire for fuel pump and truck will not start put a little peace of wire in hot side of plug and truck will start short in plug left wire in truck start ever time through 300.00 dollar away on fuel pump   thank you pete-----------------------

no electric to fuel pump check relay and fuses all good i was told that if oil pressure sending unit was bad it would not get electric to it can not get truck started change fuel pump did no good 2000 gnc sierra 1500 5.3 engine can you help me.    danny

use a test light see if you are geting juce to fuel pump

you have a short in the wireing try this to run a wire from the fuel pump to battery and see if your trucks starts . bet it does .

then you can try to fine a fraed wire or run fuel pump in to a good cir . to fuse box .
as to be eng .

u have a broken wire from the relay wire to fuel pump u are going to have to trace the wires and see where broke then repair eng on and a test light start from the fuel pump wire go up to relay .
more likely it is by the fuel pump exposed to weather
