GMC Repair: Pontiac Sunfire Electrical, pontiac sunfire, gas gauge

Dear Pete,
Here's the two problems with my car...(1999 Pontiac Sunfire). Sorry, but I don't know it's history very well as I bought it second hand..but both have to do with interior electrical:
Problem #1 All the dials in the dash, example speedometer, gas gauge etc. go dead when I turn on the defrost and the radio at the same time...or the lights and the radio at the same time. It's almost like it's just too much for the electrical to handle, or it just doesn't have enough power inside the car. If I turn off the radio for example, the dials come back up again to where they were (except sometimes the gas gauge).  
Problem #2 Once in a while, the ABS light or any other combo of warning lights (separate from the gauges) will come on and stay on until I stop the car and turn it off. Then they will go away. They don't usually come back on unless I turn on something electrical, like the radio.
I'm not sure if this is your area or not, but I would really love to know your thoughts on this!

your problem is all because of the compuiter bring it  to a dealer and tell them what u told me and tell them to reprogam the compuiter . it is louseing its mem. it is not elct. at all 45 dollors for this serivice good luck to u hun and if u need more help just let me know pete
