GMC Repair: No reverse?, electric solenoid, component failure

My 1997 Bravada has no reverse.  Can you tell me what I need to do?  Will a transmission out of a 1994 Jimmy fit in a 1997 Bravada?  Last time I asked this question the reply was this question was already answered...however I never received an answer.  Thanks again for any help you can give me.

NO the transmissions are NOT interchangeable due to the differences in the internal electronics.

The problem with your trans may be just a simple faulty electric solenoid or it could be a major component failure.

Have a professional facility drop the trans pan and have a look.
