GMC Repair: Brake Usage, abs brakes, correct answer

Hopefully this questions falls in your range of expertise. It is about the best way to use your brakes. Is it better on the brakes to do a shorter but harder brake vs. a longer but softer brake, or does it matter? Would either of these methods of breaking have anything to do with a soft jerking feeling I get when I use the brakes?

Since you did not give me any clue as to what YEAR,MAKE, MODEL or anything else of your vehicle it is most impossible to give you a correct answer.

IF you are driving a newer vehicle that has ABS brakes, It really makes no difference.

the jerking feeling that you are experiencing when braking is usually caused by the rotors being slightly warped and they need to either be re-surfaced or replaced.
