GMC Repair: 98 gmc yukon 4x4 indicator lights, yukon 4x4, gmc yukon

98 gmc yukon 5.7 v8  the 4 wheel drive works, but none of the indicator lights work (push button 4 wheel drive)  also, at night,the backlights of the radio buttons dont light up.  The radio and clock works, just not the radio preset button lights, seek button lights etc.  I have checked the fuses and they seem to be good.  Could these light issues be related? Could you give some suggested troubleshooting tips?  My main concern is the 4wd indicator lights.  I would like to be sure the vehicle is in 2HI unless i push the 4HI button.  Know what i mean?

I would guess the switch itself is at fault for the 4wd, as long as it works properly.
The small LED lights may be bad, no repairable.
Same with the radio. The internal lights are not repairable, the entire module needs to be
replaced.
