GMC Repair: About my 1991 GMC Somna Pickup., air control valve, coolant temp

What is a: culch sleeve ?.


Did this problem occur suddenly or did it occur AFTER a repair ?.

Without knowing ANY repair history on the vehicle the FIRST thing to check would be the IAC (Idle Air Control)valve. Next would be the CTS (COOLANT TEMP SENSOR).

Are you POSITIVE that someone has not Adjusted THE LITTLE idle speed CONTROL SCREW AS YOU WOULD NORMALLY DO ON OLDER NON-COMPUTERIZED VEHICLES ?.

     I Mis spelled cluth sorry,First I put the water pump on last year,then the feul pump went out in June put a feul pump and feul filter it was running fast then, July put the clutch sleeve. It say's on the space over the radaitor that the timing and idle speed was factory set and sealed There is no one who can figure it I have bought plugs & wires for it just haven't put them on yet.The reason I said that was because at the parts store I ask them he put it on there comp. it didn't show what would help he said it was beond him.
