GMC Repair: ENGINE STALLING, e mail address, crank sensor

1997 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 3.8 LITRE ENGINE. PROBLEM, STALLS WHEN ENGINE REACHES OPERATING TEMP.NO SPARK @COIL PACK. LET COOL OFF FOR 30MINS. ENGINE STARTS.REPLACED IGNITION MODULE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED.WATER PUMP HAD BEEN LEAKING (REPLACED)WONDERING IF CRANK SENSOR MAY HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY LEAKING PUMP @MAYBE THIS IS THE PROBLEM.LOCATED COMPUTER AND TAPED ON IT WITH ENGINE RUNNING TO SEE IF IT WOULD ACT UP BUT IT DIDN'T ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANK YOU

You DID or you did NOT replace the crank sensor ?. If NOT, I would replace the crank sensor and make ABSOLUTELY SURE that your check the crank sensor electrical connector so any coolant that may have gotten into the electrical plug and or into the wiring harness. Either via using an air compressor blow into and all around the crank sensor wiring harness and connector to get out the coolant or buy a spray can, It is made by numerous manufacturers, WIRE DRYER which is basically just alcohol in a spray can to absorb and flush out the coolant.

FYI: Some manufacturers require that the crank sensor is ADJUSTED a SPECIFIC AIR GAP and others do not. Make SURE that if yours requires a SPECIFIC AIR GAP that you set it EXACTLY to the correct specifications.
