GMC Repair: 1981 gmc 1/2 ton, wire guage, fusible links

where can i get a new quality fusible link for the starter.  thanks for your help.

Answer
You can get this link at any auto parts store. You may or may not have to put your own ends on it.

CAUTION: The fusible link MUST have the SAME amperage load and or wire guage size, Ask the parts person for the correct one. The LENTH is not that critical but the amperage and the guags size IS.

NEVER, EVER replace these FUSIBLE LINKS with regular wire as if it shorts out you will fry the entire wiring harness and in many cases DESTROY the vehicles electronic components.
