Acura Repair: engine wont start, acura dealership, acura dealer

Question
What do you think could be wrong with my 1994 Acura Integra with 117,000 miles on it when the engine died after I released the clutch after down shifting from 3rd to second gear. Now the engine won't turn over. When I press the clutch to start the car the engine sounds like it wants to turn over but it doesn't and when I begin to release the clutch I here a click and it goes completely dead. A friend says it's not firing and it may be the coil. What do you think? Thank you so much for you help. By the way, my clutch was replaced by the Acura dealer about 5 months ago. My radiator and brakes were replaced about 4 months ago. At the 105,000 mile check up the dealer told me that the "A pipe" needed to be replaced but I have not done that. Thanks again.

Answer
Kathy, Which Acura Dealership?
in a "Try" to answer your question: it's hard for me to sit hear and tell you what's wrong with your car from what you tell/ Told me... But i'll tell you what i would do if i Got this car, and was told to "Check" it...
I would Pull the Timing Cover along With the Valve cover and take a look at the timing belt and would put my money there. a bad coil i would suspect if it had gone in age, but not in a Down shift, which by the way puts stress on the transmission which in turns puts stress on the engine which in turns puts stress on a rubber belt we call a " Timing Belt" which can brake, nd stall the engine...
and the answer would lie some where between there.
if you think you can handle it, then take care of bunisses.
Sincerly, J.Nazario
